Family Physician

Dr. Oluseyi Taiye-Akinsun is a caring and experienced family physician with over 20 years of practice in Nigeria, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom. She graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan and has a special interest in women’s health, children’s health, and sexual and reproductive care.

Now based in Winnipeg, Dr. Taiye-Akinsun works at Regal Health Center, where she is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and reading.

Family Physician

Dr. Akinwale Taiye-Akinsun (Akinwale) is a family physician practicing in Winnipeg. He is open-minded, honest, friendly and has a genuine interest in caring for people.

His medical career spans over 20 years working across different subspecialties in Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean islands. These include family medicine, pediatrics and neonatal medicine, and emergency medicine.

Dr. A. Taiye-Akinsun's special interest is in pediatric medicine.

Prior to joining Regal Health, Dr. A. Taiye-Akinsun worked in a clinic at the south end of the city.

He loves to have a good laugh, engage in sports activities, and watch movies.

Family Physician.

My name is Dr. Uche Edet, and I am a family physician practicing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I completed my medical degree in Nigeria and family medicine training in the United Kingdom, where I developed a strong foundation in comprehensive, patient-centered primary care. My practice is guided by the belief that every patient deserves care that is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to their unique needs.

I care for patients of all ages and stages of life, with clinical experience spanning chronic disease management, preventative health, and acute care. I have a special interest in women’s health, including reproductive and menopausal health, and supporting patients through various life transitions. I am passionate about empowering women to understand their health and make informed decisions that best support their well-being.

I also have a strong interest in dermatology and skin lesion assessment, including the diagnosis and management of common skin conditions. My exposure to diverse populations during my training has fostered an appreciation for the variety of dermatologic presentations across different ethnic populations. I am committed to offering accessible, evidence-based care and ensuring that patients feel listened to and supported throughout their treatment.

My approach to medicine is rooted in open communication, respect, and continuity. I value the trusted relationships that develop between family physicians, their patients, and their communities, and I am excited to contribute to the health of families in Winnipeg.

Outside of my clinical work, I am married and enjoy spending quality time with my family. I love going for walks, exploring new places, and discovering what Manitoba has to offer. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your health journey.
